Feels like the show is stretching itself too thin trying to split the screentime between 4 sets of characters. None of them gets development fast enough considering we need to wait a week between episodes. So far, this feels similar to The Witcher in that it would benefit from a binge release rather than weekly.

The man basically dedicated his life to curating, deciphering, pouring over and editing J.R.R. Tolkien's writing to give us The Silmarilion, Children Of Hurin, Unfinished tales, translations of beowulf the list goes on and on. He's arguably the one person who knew Tolkien and his world best. That's why somebody would "give a flying fuck" about christopher tolkiens opinion on anything related to Tolkien. There you made me explain it.

His opinions will always be lesser than the man who actually wrote the material. Anyways what were the movies supposed to be in his ideal world?
