Any comment on this btw? :o

Well I mean if you consider what happened in both stories that kind of lines up. Thor was probably there for like a week or two and Hela only a few hours seemed to pass in her story development.

In other news, what’s your percentage of failure for amazon’s lord of the rings?

I mean, I hope for the best, but boy did they take on a massive project.

I'm trying to not think about it. Amazon has pushed out a few good shows, but I'd be a lot less worried if it was HBO or another one of the premium channels.

I don't usually start it but I won't back down either.

Usually the same for me, but not always.

I feel the same. Although, I watched the night manager (amazon) recently and I highly recommended it. Great little mini series.

My parents just recommended a BUNCH of Amazon series to me, and they usually have fantastic taste. I'm sure they're capable of doing it, but this seems tough.

The night manager is really good, Tom Hiddleston is so good in it. He is easily one of my new favorites.

Also the lotr project is like a prequel, so they don't really have anything they are forced into, they won't be competing with the movies. Plus the Tolkien estate was the ones trying to shop the project around, they approached Amazon, Amazon didn't randomly decide they wanted to do it. So imo everything so far points to "should be ok".

^ It doesn't matter about what they're "forced" into, it's just the matter of taking on such an iconic franchise and turning it into a series. Bad acting/effects or w/e, are going to get MUCH more criticism than they would for a show that's just it's own show or w/e. I'm just trying to not think about it until it's here, and then I'll check it out, and hopefully it's not terrible. Would be near impossible for it to be worse than The Hobbit.

It’s really tough for medieval fantasy to not come off as cheesy, so that’s another thing I’m worried about.

Thought I'd post this here because this seems to be the current unofficial Marvel discussion thread.

Quote
Dr. Strange is evaluating the medical records of possible patients. One of those patients is described as “a 35 year old Air Force colonel who crushed his spine in an experimental suit of armor.” He is clearly discussing Rhodey’s injuries from Captain America: Civil War.

Something I never connected before, kinda neat.
