Not at all lol. For me at least.
It's literally become where the men are women and the women are men. Like there are only 3 episodes left, and the main plot is getting overshadowed by all of the sub-plots of each character.
Last season the characters were just so memorable even though the show was slow it sucked me in and was deep, dark, and creepy. Just not that case this season, it's like they're trying too hard.
But you can't ever expect that same "vibe". Especially when they are telling two COMPLETELY differently stories, which are apparently not connected at all. So, why is it even a good thing to try and compare it to s1? God, I almost wish they would have renamed this season, just so I can stop hearing that excuse of it not being as good or as memorable as s1. And this is coming from someone who loves s1 more than most things. I have a $#@!ing TD tattoo from s1 for christ sake lol. But, I get it. I can almost guarantee, if this show was called ANYTHING else, it wouldn't be getting the hate it's getting. I don't care either way. I love s2.
P.S. - Rachel McAdams being a strong female lead and Colin Farrell having a more caring side, should not merit your stereotypical response of gender roles. Enjoy the show and the characters as they are. Not as the world tells you how they "should be"...
P.P.S. - The sub-plots in this show are what I live for...
