Yeah I didn't notice until I saw a facebook post on the fan page say "did Loras say french sleeves?" Then I skipped back to the scene I realized it was fringe.

I knew I couldn't be the only one that heard "French" lol.

If you go back to the scene when they're at the top of the wall I believe there are other wildlings you can see in the distant background reaching the top as well.

I dunno if the ship was sailing off it was kind of an awkward position. I thought it was Petyrs ship just sitting in th*** waiting for him to leave for the Vale and take Sansa along. Personally I can't imagine Dontos coming back. It feels like they have too many characters for the viewers to handle so I could definitely see the drunk being left out.

random thought: I thought Sam's scene was pretty awful. There hasn't been a single piece of acting I didn't like until that scene. Both actors were just brutal imo.

At this point, I don't think they're going to use Dontos. They just didn't build him up at all like they did in the book, so if he just barges in out of nowhere and says "I'm going to spirit you awaaaaaaay!" it will feel completely unnatural. Plus, he was only there because we had no idea of Petyr's intention to spirit her away, but he made that very clear in the show.

I feel exactly the same way about the Sam Gilly scene. Also, is it me, or was that scene with the interaction between Arya and Melisandre extremely cheesy? Like, it was a super stereotypical fantasy scene.

1. Sam The Slayer
Someone said Sam hasn't killed a Walker yet.  Well i'd be he does, why else would they make a point of showing him with his dragonglass dagger?  Sam the Slayer he will be.

3.  Sansa's Jonquille
If that was Petyr Baelish's ship heading off to the Vale, then maybe this is where ser Dontos is re introduced to the series?

4.  The Wall Defends Itself
I thought I remembered there being more wildlings that scale the wall, looks like its just Tormund, the Worg, Ygritte and The Bastard.

1. Yea, maybe they are just shifting the slaying to be witnessed by Gilly rather than by his brothers. If that's the case, I can see why they would do it. Builds up the Sam/Gilly relationship but at the expense of the Sam/NW credibility route the book went.
3. They have to have someone acting as the informative agent since Baelish is "out of the city". With that main prostitute gone, I can't think of any other developed characters who are loyal to Baelish. Can you think of anyone who could fill that role who is more recognizable than Dontos?
4. There was another group going up below the main group. My sister said she saw the other climbing group falls and die when the wall collapsed. I didn't see it, but it must have been there.

I loved the new episode.

I also believe that Sam is going to do something huge.

The reason for this is because he has been a central character since Jon Snow was introduced.

As soon as Jon goes to the Crow camp. He's met with Sam and the story focuses on how Jon is his mentor and friend.
Later in the series we're seeing "I forbid you to die!" This was also pointed directly at Sam's character. And when they go to the little camp. He's seen sparking a relationship with the girl there.

Now I don't think it's a coincidence that he was shown as THE VERY FIRST SCENE of Episode 6. And it was all too subtle to see him saying "It's just some old blade" nonchalantly...

I have a feeling some great things are in store for Sam!

I'm glad we're starting to see that Tywin isn't just a badass stoic type - he's a sociopath essentially. I still feel for Tyrion when, after saving King's Landing, Tywin just destroys Tyrion for being a "malformed creature prone to all sorts of perversions." Not to mention Tywin had to mention that Tyrion "killed" his mother while he was being born.

But ... he is a man that lives up to his reputation, a rare thing, as the show reminds us.

Tywin wields the strongest weapon in Westeros - a quill and parchment. Soon you witness his mastery bearing terrifying fruit.

Episode 7 best of the season.

The bear scene lived up to the hype. The effort put into CGI'ing emotions for Drogon went to a new level. Oona Chaplin was banging. Ramsay's character is really coming along. The scenes between Tyrion/Shae and Tywin/Joffrey were both so well done.

The one interesting thing was Melisandre telling Gendry about his birth. The fact that the are going so far with this angle makes me think it is also going to happen in Winds of Winter.

I'm loving the emphasis put into Jamie's character development
