I've worn a Taxi Driver t-shirt for the past year and a half and I can't keep track of all the times someone walks up to me all wide-eyed "oh my god is that a Taxi Driver shirt? that's so awesome like oh my god so awesome like wowz." Definitely a wonderful piece of film. Would recommend Mean Streets to anyone who enjoyed DeNiro's character in Taxi Driver.

yeah, he was chosen for the role of Travis Bickle because of his performance in Mean Streets :)
