High Fidelity
Things I disliked about the film (I'll try and keep it short):
-- Jack Black
-- Jack Black performing a Marvin Gaye song
-- John Cusack's overall whiny attitude
-- The way it tended to just fucking drag on, despite the fact that the ending was very predictable. Could have been 15 minutes shorter easier.
Things I liked:
-- The record store and John Cusack's character's apartment are awesome. If I could make a living any way in the world it would be running that store and living in that apartment would be awesome, as well.
-- Every scene without Jack Black (except the one where he recommends Dylan).
-- Cusack's fantasies about assaulting Tim Robbins' character. I laughed out loud.
I recommend it, particularly because this is a site devoted to music, but don't expect anything original to come from this.
2.5 // 5.0.
I'd rate it higher but it was just so God damned unoriginal and drawn out.
