SPOILERS BELOW

The moral of this story was kind of awful. All those other girls are still in the shitty environments we see during the movie and the corruption in the government in France (and presumably other nations, as well) remains. You are tempted to feel good because he rescued his daughter and spends time with her after the ordeal is over but the movie doesn't reconcile the fact that the daughter's friend was killed overseas and the trade continues, despite Liam's massacre.

I thought the premise was cool and Liam Neeson did a good job, even though I have a hard time buying him as a hyper-badass. Predictable to the last, from the slew of gunfights during which the main character suffers minimal damage to the corrupt politicians who were "legit" when they were "in the game" to the obvious ending.

The movie also skims the fact that Neeson should have went right up to his ex-wife and slapped her in the mouth for being so fucking stupid. He knew it was a bad idea to let them go and had she been anyone else's daughter she'd have suffered a horrible fate along with her friend.

It was allright to pretty good, I definitely enjoy to watch these kind of films but it needed a bit polishing, some sound mood parts felt disconnected and forced imo.
