Is the new movie worth it to marathon the original triology and then watch the new one? Could make a day out of it..

That's what I basically did, watched the previous three the two days before. Honestly though, 2, 3 and 4 are all so painful, that it hurt even more watching them all, as I just constantly thought about how much fucking potential this franchise had after the initial movie. They should have just ended it there, but money makes people do stupid shit.

They honestly had no idea what they were doing after #1, I also disagree with you on the money thing. I think it was the "pioneering action movie that changed cinema history" aspect that went to their heads... And when you look at what 2+3 turned into I think it's a pretty obvious statement.

Matrix 4 is absolute trash.

the cast is trash (except Neo and trinity and that half decent neil patrick harris cameo (cant call it anything other than cameo because total time on screen is what... 2-3 minutes?


story is trash

effects are trash (compare how he used to stop bullets in the original 3 with how he holds his arms out now, like he is trying to stop one chick from getting into a catfight with another chick...

"nonono chill chill, calm down man.... seriously stop it.... " that and his half- chrunched over two arms out "please dont shoot" - posture

also the fact that they just had to give trinity some powers because of course they would.

Cant have a gender-change and not be extra-biased, ergo leaning towards a strong female lead /s


watching the movie felt as natural as the genderbender the wachowskis went through.

And I wont debate this further, but imho there are transsexual people (one episode of dr. house capture this very well with a girl that was a model but had testicles inside her body that did not drop during pregnancy, resulting in female parts and extra high estrogen while "actually" technically being a boy....)

BUT other than that, I would say 99% of the "newage" transformers are just attentionseekers, the same way that any insta-thot /influencer is an attention seeker

I can't believe that people had to fight so hard for gay rights in the past decades, just so some rainbow-pony-looking 14 year old can say that it identifies as a 7-dimensional space-unicorn and get away with it.

Feels like an insult towards everybody who is legit just interested in the same sex but still acts normally... (I had plenty of colleagues and a few friends who were gay and were pleasant to be around because they were normal human beings, not extra-special over-the-top-glitterboxes



tldr: all the hormone-cocktails must have clouded the filmmakers judgement and it shows.

if you want to experience another "season-8-Game of Thrones- type fiasco, then feel free to go and watch the movie.

I promise, you will be disappointed

The first thirty minutes pulled me in. It seemed like they were really building towards something spectacular there with the whole "groundhog day" type theme of Neo reliving the same thing over and over. The minute they introduced trying to break him out it somehow went South immediately. The actor choices weren't great, the story really didn't make much sense to me, and the action and CGI was not even on par with the previous moves that are so much older. It just felt as though they had a great concept and then completely shit the bed on the delivery.

The only movie I've seen lately that I believe has been worse than this was Space Jam 2, they just spent the better part of two hours stroking Lebron James for whatever reason.

stick to watching anime

they intentionally made the movie shit so warner bros cant continue making more matrix movies to milk the franchise
they literally said this in the movie and people still dont get it
