You obviously don't play poker... you can't just fold after going all-in.
It just wouldn't have been hard for them to make a scenario where all players were in on a pot, he then proceeds to ask players what cards they have, once knowing he has the best hand, he then forces them to go all-in. Once again, would have taken an extra 30 seconds and it would have made sense. Going about it how they did was just stupid... It's fine, it's a TV show, little stupid shit happens all the time. Someone brought it up, and I'm just agreeing and explaining why it was stupid. You can agree to disagree all you want. It just doesn't make any sense that he tried to do everything as legitimately as possible leading up to trying to win over Jessica, and then they have a scene that just shows that none of the writers have ever played poker in their fucking lives lol.
Same thing you see with hacker shit on TV, or other various random shit where you know the writer just has NO fucking clue what he's talking about.
I play poker. I want you to find me the rule where it says you can't fold after going all in. I searched and could not find it. It's probably an "unwritten rule," but still ambiguous nonetheless.
Asking each guy what cards they have would have taken longer as killgraves can't control what cards he is dealt......he would have to wait for the situation where he "could" have the best cards and even then, every single player would have to have worse cards than him. He wanted one card game where all players were in.
Hey, manipulating players into showing their cards is also against the rules but you don't seem to care about that.
Having them go all in and folding against 2/7 creates even more confusion for them after the fact because it's the worst hand. He even insults them for it.
whether there is, or is not, a rule against folding when going all in, killgraves doesn't have to follow it. He creates more confusion this way which is exactly what his character is about.
The scene was fine the way it was executed.
He can't make money on his own unless he got a job, so I don't understand how you propose that making people give him money by force is legitament.
