That's how it works in the comics.. And how is that a safety net? Imo getting rid of powers is the stupidest way hero shows try to introduce drama. Smallville did it every other episode. Flash has already done it once this season. It is fucking boring.

Whenever Barry went back into time to gather information from the original Dr Wells, aka Reverse Flash, on how to become faster, it had some ripple affects, like Piper becoming good....I think

when barry went back in time, he said to check pipers ear cause of the explosive last time........ so he never got out and was trapped with the rest of the crew fighting the time wrath trying to change the frequency on the gloves to beat it............guess he liked helping and became good lol
