Have you ever been in the middle of a field at night with no flashlight? it's real easy to sneak up on someone.

i use to play hide and seek at night when i was a little kid in our neighborhood and saw perfectly fine under the moonlight so dont give me that shit

1. It's a TV show.

2. His attention was towards where the sound came from.

3. He wasn't a 10 year old, he's fucking 65 ish.

I said the middle of a field, not a neighborhood with secondary light sources and full moonlight.
If you'll notice, he got really close to the cow to inspect it, unlike the perspective of the viewer who could clearly see the cow and everything around dale.
On top of the sound of the cow groaning, it's completely plausible.

Where I live (Port Hope, Ontario) in the country, it's 100% pitch black here. My friend couldn't see me one front in front of him wearing an all white sweater. It's like that almost every night, very little moonlight (next to none) and rarely stars.

Carl is starting to piss me off and annoyin they should got rid of him instead of dale. Dale played a important part in keepin the group together. Maybe Dale tryed showin everyone Daryl should lead the group after yesterday i think he should 2
