Soo Shane dies at the end of the season.

not necessarily...in the books Shane dies at the first camp site beside Atlanta where Rick met up with his wife and son again. But then Shane's "role" is replaced by a black man named "Tyreese." - you know this because instead of it being Rick, Shane, and Carl in the forest when Otis shoots Carl, in the books its Rick, Tyreese, and Carl.

I'm not done volume 2 yet but I think that is how it is going to play out.

don't tell us what happens in the books and don't tell us what you think will happen or have heard will happen later on in the show.

we watch TV / read books to be kept on edge, not so that we just waste our time waiting for what we know to happen to play out.
