Some background info for show watchers on Tywin:

He was the Hand of the King for Aerys II, the Mad King (before Robert's rebellion). Tywin wanted Rhaegar to marry Cersei, and denied a proposal from the Martells to wed Elia & Oberyn to Jaime & Cersei. During Aerys' reign, people started saying that Tywin was the one who ruled, not Aerys. This caused friction between the two, and Aerys also lusted after Tywin's wife. Aerys raised Jaime to the Kingsguard as a slight to Tywin, removing Jaime's chances at inheriting Casterly Rock. Tywin then resigned as Hand, and Rhaegar married Elia Martell.

Don't know if that was a type error or not, if not, then it could have been the Kings new wife and her grandmothers plot to obtain the throne completely.
Well, they are aware of Joffreys little mental problem, so just as they are wed, kill him in public.

Only 2 parties were responsible for the incident. The link pointed out one dupe, one person that had nothing to do with it and one who was behind it. Or I should say 2 people that had nothing to do with it.

Yea sansa knew nothing. The man that gave her necklace knew what was up that is 1. Olenna and Margaery make 3. Olenna obviously knew what was up since she did it. Margaery just happened to place the kings cup near Olenna for no reason? I dont think so. Margaery was also the person that pointed out the arrival of the pie that was used to get joffrey to drink the poison. I have a hard time believing she was not in on it. Maybe she had not planned on being of any help in the plot to kill but it certainly seems like she was aware of the plot and basically rescued it. If she had not intervened who knows what would of happened with joffrey and tyrion...maybe the king would not have done any more drinking if their back and forth had continued.
