I've seen both twice several years ago. But I was thinking about a 3rd watch for both recently. Plenty of high quality actors, action and effects.

I tried generation kill once at some point maybe... But it was canceled and not nearly as good. Not that it was bad... But you can't compete with an all star cast and top end budget.

Generation kill wasn't canceled. It was a one season mini-series as intensed.

ahhh my bad... I wasn't aware of that clearly. Might have to give it another shot. I think I only watched a few episodes and didn't take it seriously. Maybe middle east/Iraq/Afghanistan battles simply don't seem as glorious. Maybe because the cast wasn't as well known as the other two mini-series.

You should watch the whole series. Shows a solid look into the ineptitude of the US invasion of Iraq.

Yeah I loved it. It isn’t as flashy as some but it is a really well done show. Lt. Fick was my favorite. Need to watch it again.

Yeah Nate was a good character. Big fan of Ray though.
