I've seen articles about how he hates everything about the Twilight series. I can't hate the guy for propelling himself into stardom by starring in a shit franchise. At least he is self aware enough to know the movies are trash.
Being a Batman fan I'll see it regardless of how bad it is.
Oh he definitely does lol, but my prejudice of actors goes deep. I’m not proud of that aspect of myself, but it’s just one of those flaws I have.
Regardless of him doing some shitty heartthrob movies and phoning in his performance, like everyone in those films did (or in most cases they just couldn’t act), he’s shown time and time again he’s incredibly talented. I had the same reservations about DiCaprio early on, but he’s one of the actors I respect the most. I believe that guy can play fucking anything and he constantly does shit outside his wheelhouse after breaking into film with tween heartthrob stuff like Titanic and Romeo and Juliet. Shit man, his most recent one, Don’t Look up was a pretty decent commentary on how fucked our current political climate/world is, but he played something totally new and he absolutely nailed it.
E: and ya, I’ll 100% watch it. Aside from Spidey, Batman is probably my favorite hero. I loved comics as a kid (shocker I’m sure), so I watch the majority of them, I’m just almost always disappointed. Marvel still only has a handful I’d classify as good, and for main heroes, DC only has the Nolan series. Watchmen and V for Vendetta are top fucking notch, The Losers and Red were both better than anything else DC, but no one really considers those four when talking “comic” films.
