ugh i dont think i can cast a vote on this one.

dceu has some massive turds, but ZSJL was legitimately good and Doom Patrol is awesome. havent seen the new suicide squad yet though heard good things. but if the execs can understand whats working and what wasnt, dceu could go good places.

mcu has some massive turds, but tied everything up nicely so far and thor: ragnarok gets big points. theres some great tv shows too that are way better than the almost all the movies, like Agents of Shield (honestly, it gets so much better after the first couple seasons), daredevil, jessica jones, punisher.

i definitely think the mcu is overrated though. the first captain america film is one of the worst movies ive ever seen, and the first 2 thor movies arent much better. and likewise i think the dceu is underrated in the sense that people havent even given the good ones a fair shot. i've always liked Man of Steel and felt like the hate that movie got was undeserved, and even BvS has some really strong qualities and its faults honestly arent really worse than anything the lesser mcu films did. seems like a lot of the people that hate on those movies are the same people that just hate zack snyder's style. he's been getting the same criticisms from people forever at this point.

im definitely more interested to see what dceu does next though than i am to see shang chi or the eternals.
