S1 was probably 5.5-6/10, S2 6-6.5/10

It's nothing special, but it's a somewhat entertaining show that's worth watching if you're bored.

If you're looking for an actually dark take on superheros done well, you should watch The Boys, it blows Umbrella out of the fucking water.

Enjoyed both seasons. Can’t wait for season three. Back to the future logic is still fun.

Eh.. I wouldn't really say umbrella academy is "a dark take on superheroes"

I like the show because the kid, #5, is one of the very very few child actors that doesn't immediately make me want to shoot myself in the head. He does a really good job imo.

5 is a gorram national treasure. Paranoid, flatulent, homicidal and itchy five is a real treat, especially when he's against his older younger self.

That's exactly what it is... it's a look at what superheros would actually be like given what comes with the territory, rather than the happy and perfect model that's usually portrayed with anyone who has special powers.

Of course there's a lot more going on, but I've fully grasped how pointless nitpicky conversations are with you, since you literally never budge, so this will be my only response on the matter.

Lmao the local dickhead with a typical dickhead response that serves nothing except to show how much of a dickhead he is, what a fucking surprise.

Umbrella academy isn't a dark take on anything. Everyone in the show is generally a good, if flawed, person trying their best. Not to mention one of the main points if the show is that they AREN'T superheroes. A more realistic look, yes, dark, no.

The boys is a show about asshole sociopaths who have power and are addicted to fame, and will do anything to keep said power and fame because everything is secondary to those two things, even innocent lives. Aka a dark take on superheroes.

Thank you for being such a mature and decent person to converse with. I always enjoy our talks sweetheart.

I legitimately spit out my drink when you called them "generally good" though, like holy fuck your standards for a good person are depressingly low. I assume they're set by how you view yourself, which makes a shocking amount of sense really.

Thanks for that look into what makes blah blah, i think it's exactly what we all expected.

how is your post any different?

both of you are just looking to start arguments with the majority of the posts you make here. I don't care, but what is the point in trying to pretend otherwise?
