So true. The vast majority of his performances range from mediocre to abysmal. Although a lot of his films are guilty pleasure type movies for me, Enemy of the State, Bad Boys, MIB, Hancock, I Robot, etc... He's never showcased above average acting ability, with the Pursuit of Happiness being the one exception, but I accredit that to good directing more than Smith's acting, since he hasn't replicated that level of performance since.

It was watchable, but it wasn't a good movie.

I grew up with a lot of his movies and loved him as a kid, but growing up and seeing how great acting can be, you realize how far apart guys like Smith are.

Bright is a strange one to digest.

The premise of the universe was A++. The first 20 minutes had me glued to the screen as they were introducing the state of the races.

But after that, things went downhill fast.The bulk of the adventure was a bunch of typical action bullshit. The wand macguffin was so stereotypical fantasy bs with no creativity at all.

People who haven't watch Bright should watch it, but they should go in with incredibly low expectations.

I'd say that I'm excited for the sequel because I think that so much GREAT STUFF can be done with the concept.

The trailer makes it look like they are just trying to remake the same type of movie as the first 2. That's disappointing.

With Will Smith having been involved in Cobra Kai, I would have hoped that he had been shown the proper way to make a sequel to a classic.
