lmao not true

*expects happy ending, typical bad guy loses scenario* -> Thanos actually kills half the population

If you didn't expect the snap to happen in Infinity war then you're a fucking idiot.

Edit: also in story telling it's not typically the good guys who win it's the protagonist. In iw Thanos is 100% the protagonist. IW didn't break the mould at all is still the typical Heroes Journey bullshit.

At least when movies like star wars had the bad guy win he was actually the be guy/antagonist.

Wasn't my intent. I don't blame the fans for being excited about this. People from all paths can find enjoyment in mindless visual overkill flicks, but the level of hype and anticipation for a movie that we've already seen 20 times, is a bit much, especially when actually good Marvel movies are so few and far between.

I understand that, and I also agree with you. But, you do bash marvel/superhero movies quite frequently. Some people feel personally attacked for their likes.

Totally, a fairly accurate adaptation of a legendary writer's works, was nothing but mindless drivel that I'd already seen a dozen times. The acting was subpar throughout and the entire thing was made for the sole purpose of getting as many average people as possible in theaters. Wanna try again there champ?

Like I've said before, it's fine if people like the Disney Marvel movies, but people who can't even see someone point out obvious shortcomings, without getting butthurt or throwing out complete and utter nonsense responses, like what I'm responding to right now, are a few crayons short of a box. Which is the main target of Disney anyway, so kudos to them.

The LotR movie trilogy is an odd case.

It's illogical to criticize the story for being "stereotypical" given that it is the source of many of those stereotypes. But if you disregard the source material and judge the movies as their own entity by 2001 standards, then the story and characters were completely bland.

Now, if you look them in a different framework, the production of the movie (the budget and the effort put into the sets/costumes) was actually a cinematic triumph. It did those things better than they had been previously been done.

LotR movies performing well is kinda like the Golden State Warriors winning championships. You better do something great if you are going to adapt a source material with an established following and back it with a huge budget. No one can deny their accomplishments. But it's less impressive than that one year Lebron won in the middle of their run.

You seem to be the only butthurt person in here because people are watching and liking Marvel movies? Or because others have different opinions than you? Take a chill pill
