its not a remake technically because they talk about the previous encounters



but the problem is people are trying too hard to be pseudo intellectuals nowadays and forget that some movies are literally just for the action


none of the predator movies were ever deep, yet now this movie is being judged by it's ability to be butterfly effect level of thought provocation




the movie was awesome

the stupid one liners were funny the predators looked fucking insane lots of fun explosions and the most dangerous game style finale


is it Prometheus as far as next gen versions of classic movies go? no but it's a damn good watch

They literally changed the story line of previous movies, essentially ruining them canonically.

"Looking for DNA" is a way worse premise than hunting for sport. Especially in an action movie.

If they wanted just action they should have not even put in the horrible explanations for everything. I would have been happy just accepting that the predator was a traitor, and that the other predator was hunting him. Didn't need any of that other stuff.

The movie is supposed to feature the larger more aggressive species of predators right? Was there ever a distinction, or reference, of the two different types in the movie? Any lore advancement or same rehashed story?

I liked it better when there was only one kind.

Predators had two and that's arguably the best Predator movie ever made. I like it more than the original personally, but that's cause the original is dated as fuck lol. It's still cheesy 80s action goodness, but it's badddd.

Predators was better than this new one....a sequel to that would've been better
