Thanks for the recommendation. Never seen nor heard of it. Looks like we share the same taste in some movies so I might enjoy this. Definitely gonna check it out.

Was my pick, easily one of the best of the decade. Might be too lowkey if you are gruntled by hollywood machine, but it's worth watching - if you like movies, not just the big flashy ones

Weird how you just randomly showed up and got put on the list but others didnt

It's funny how you are so salty that you got yourself a week ban when I tried to include you. Then you blame me for it.

Honestly grow up and move on.

Didn't watch the trailer, but I've heard of it, and this was the vibe I got as well.

I'll give it a watch, but me or anyone disliking this has nothing to do with it not being "flashy". Just because something is obscure, doesn't mean it's good.

Comments like "Might be too lowkey if you are gruntled by hollywood machine" make it difficult to even watch this though... a good movie is a good movie regardless of where it comes from. Hollywood produces plenty of entertaining films, and they also produce loads of shit, just like everywhere else.

Well I like hollywood movies too! It's just that i like also movies elsewhere. I got angry by those first two comments "literally no one wants to watch this" and got a gist that it was the case for him and maybe the voucher.
Oslo, 31. August isn't obscure at all, maybe to americans? it has 16k imdb votes and it won nordic council award (best film of the year from sweden, denmark, norway, iceland or finland)! Quite big and acclaimed i would say.
It's also on The 21st Century's Most Acclaimed Films list https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/the%2021st%20centurys%20most%20acclaimed%20films/
and spot 116 on icheckmovies users favourite movies https://www.icheckmovies.com/lists/icheckmovies%20-%20most%20favorite/
clearly not a random obscure movie

I have never heard of the movie before, but I mean even if it has a basic message like "drugs are bad" that doesn't mean it can't be a good character drama if the actors and writing are good. I will wait to watch it here judging.

But I mean that is the point of this, find movies you wouldn't otherwise and give it a shot. You might like it you might not.

Yea doesn't mean it cant have other messages, nuances and merits

I'm aware, and I'm totally fine with that, but him being this condescending and claiming people might not like it simply because it's not "flashy", or implying that liking anything out of Hollywood makes you incapable of enjoying a good movie, is just a painfully stupid thing to say and it makes it hard to take him or his movie seriously. Like I said, I'll watch it, and I am grateful to have a movie posted I haven't seen, but that just rubbed me the wrong way.

That's not at all what i'm saying. I like a lot of 'flashy' Hollywood movies too, i just got butthurt by the first two posts and thought that was the case with those two posters
