I am one of the few (here)that liked it up to s5 tbh. 6, 7, 8 pissed me off increasingly more to quitting halfway through 8

I liked what I've read from the comics too, but they've just fucked it up wayyyyy too much to fix, regardless of how good the comics are. Maybe 20 years from now we'll get a remake on HBO that's only a handful of seasons, but it actually has good acting, writing, no filler bullshit, and it's true to the source content.

Probably won't ever happen since this did so well (even though it's been laughably bad for awhile now) , but a man can dream lol. Priest would be a good one too.

Agreed, loving the comics.

Show is absolutely going to fuck up the Whisperers story arc and that will probably be my breaking point. By far the best part of the series.

And that will continue it's always better to read the book or comic that goes without saying I bet the comic didn't have 20 issues of them walking in circles the show sure did.

into the badlands is another example of a show that would truly be great if it was at hbo, whereas now it's just a decent action series usually with subpar writing and plenty of cringe. BTW, season 3 is out if anyone was wondering - nobody's posted about it yet

But yeah, losing Andrew Lincoln is massive. He's the only redeeming quality atm

I stopped watching several seasons ago, tuned in for the episode when glen died, & haven’t watched it since. Apparently I’m not missing anything

That's where I stopped too. Not out of boycott or anything, just... wasn't engaging me like the first couple seasons did.

Show is now dead.

Season 1 & 2 were great.

At a certain point they started caring more about success than actually making a good show. Shows like GoT, Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, etc all did the right thing. They focuses on their story and didn't prolong it for a cash grab scheme.


I loved the first few seasons of TWD. Pretty much everyone knew it was going to be a hit. I haven't watched the last two seasons and I probably won't unless I get bored AF.
