interesting, but totally wrong from the very premise. The whole discussion misrepresents the meaning of the the word 'femininity' as it was being used in the original quote it kept bashing. The real 'femininity' the she (and the audience) 'embrace' throughout the movie is the idea that: she isn't smart, her ideas aren't very good, she should have just listened to what the man said every step of the way. At the end of the movie, she finally realized that.
*The very first scene we see her with Chris Pratt, one of the first thing he suggests to her is that they head to his bunk for a quick fuck. She declines. Later, she realizes that was a mistake and should eagerly accept it every time he tells her.
*Similarly, when we are first introduced to Claire, she is shirking off the responsibility of taking care of the kids in order to prioritize her career. All the dangerous adventure makes her realize that taking of the kids IS the important thing she should have been doing all along. Her assistant wasn't going to provide her with a way to have kids. In fact, that assistant was so hot, all she really was was competition that might steal Chris Pratt's sperm. So Claire letting the assistant die forgotten while Claire focuses on kissing Chris Pratt is THE quintessential feminine thing that helped her journey.
