could also throw music in there, since many scenes are very well synchronized to the soundtracks

Not what I expected based off the trailer. Alright, well shit, If it's not a comedy, maybe I will drag my ass to the theater. I can't stand seeing comedies in crowds, always a handful of stupid people that make it fucking unbearable for everyone with a brain. Especially when you've got the guy who does the super loud fake laugh at EVERYTHING and he laughs the hardest at the jokes from the trailer that's been playing non-stop for 3 months.

its got humor but thats not the main focus

It's a unique movie that is good. See it just for that reason.

A movie that wasn't a sequel or remake for a change

Superb movie

8/10 had to cringe a little during a few of the more light hearted song and dance scenes, but overall great flick

It feels like the Edgar Wright had an idea, which was synchronizing the action to music, and worked out from that central idea. Everything else is pretty meh, plot and story are weak in comparison to his previous work, the love aspect is meh. But all the action/heist parts are very entertaining. Overall it is a good movie.

The romance was my favorite part, but overall I agree with most of what you said. The romance would have been even better with 1 or 2 more scenes to develop Debora's character. There's a lot to criticize in the film, but it's not a film that's asking to be analyzed too hard. It's a fun movie for its entire runtime.
