Supernatural is a tv show but its better than any movie imo if you like that genre of things. Merlin is a good show aswell. Both on netflix

Supernatural is a Love or Hate kind of show. People who are into it will defend it to the death and think it's the greatest thing in the world. Plenty of other people, myself included, just can't get into it due to the quality of the writing, acting and overall feel of the show. Its also not something you can just catch up on quickly. It currently has 12 seasons with 20+ episodes each.

You should give it a shot if you're really into this genre, but if you're a stickler for good acting, writing and story structure, it might not be something you can get into.

That being said, a lot of the movies I've recommended are not fantastic movies, but they for the most part are on point with what you're asking for.

Here's a few other movies of the supernatural natural

1408
Frightners
Jacob's Ladder (trippy ass movie)
The Sixth Sense
Unbreakable

Hmm he asked for recommendations, I better tell him something he definitely should not watch because logic. Also I am an arrogant asshole.

@op live action hollywood only? Or animated/foreign also?

You liked hfr? I thought it was so bad, made everything look so fake. Like you could tell things were sets. Also movement was so jittery and messed up. I don't think I would ever watch hfr again.

I liked the dynamic aspect and the smooth motions. For me it was a good experience, don't know why everyone hated it.
Ofc everything looked fake since 80% of the movie was shot in front of a green wall.

Mine is partially bias because The Hobbit was my favorite book as a kid and they butchered it. I wouldn't have cared too much if they just added stuff like they did, but they changed the personality of every main character and made them significantly worse than they needed to be. Then, it irritated me that they put such a huge emphasis on the ring. It was as though Jackson was advertising for the LoTR movies (which were great and they changed LOADS of shit), which just didn't make sense to me and it detracted from the story that was being told. If he had done the Hobbit first, it would have made sense to do it like that, but why change every character and the entire feel of the Hobbit to advertise for something you've already done? Just nonsense. Then it really bothered me that they switched to a CGI or bust approach. It's hard for me to get into something when everything looks so horribly fake. Once again, it just didn't make sense. Sure, it would have cost significantly more to do it right, but you have an infinite budget, you're going to make billions and there is no fucking reason to put out an inferior product because you don't wanna do something that actually worked and looked amazing 10 years ago.

I mean the sets looked like painted styrofoam and shit to me. And the CGI was more obvious. It might have been better if I saw hfr non-3D idk if the two don't mix well, like 2 fairly bad things mixing to make the worst cinema experience of my life. Or if the 3D completely fucks over the hfr.
