It was always intended to be the end and the ep defended their choice to kill him off.
I guess they figured they could squeeze more out of it.

Kind of throws the whole noble sacrifice narrative they spun out the window.

Right on.
Do you still think they can produce a "good" season 5? I mean it sucks that it's only going to be about 10 episodes.. I really wanted more but theres not much more they can squeeze out of the series realistically speaking.
