Gotta say tho, Best Picture nominees looks alot more interesting this year than they did last. I don't think I watched a single Best pic nominee last year but this year I'm really looking forward to Manchester by the Sea, Moonlight and La La Land!

Man that sucks, just went to the theatre to see The Handmaiden, the newest movie from Park Chan Wook, the couple right in front of us grabbed the last two tickets

Maybe it's good that you missed it, it's about 160min. long and you can take a break after the first hours.

Just realised that I saw En man som heter Ove, damn this movie was great, I even bought the bluray. Incredible funny and incredible sad, I remember crying like a little girl ^^



Manchester by the Sea is pretty good, La La Land is decent and the nomination is well deserverd, personally I don't like musicals,thats why it isn't ranked higher on my list.
Moonlight felt like Oscar Bait... didn't like it, at all.

You should try being an extra sometime so you can actually see how movies and tv shows are filmed.

I was an extra for "Portlandia" and I thought Fred Armisen was lackluster in his acting, but once I saw the actual show, whoa... he looked different and seemed a lot more natural... obviously because of excellent job in film editing.

Hope Fences and its cast get awards because it was a great film and I'm still thinking about it weeks after it came out.

However, I'm surprised to see Arrival up for so many nominations. I hope it also wins something not just because of it being a good movie, as far as I know, it would be the first sci fi film to win in a major category. The Academy has continually shit all over any movie in the genre. Alien, A New Hope, Blade Runner, The Matrix, 2001, Contact, etc. were all panned at the awards or put into categories like "Best Soundtrack."

What a debacle.
