I often use them to determine whether I see movies in theaters or not v.s waiting for netflix or bluray. For instance, I was really excited forA Cure for Wellness, however it has been rated poorly, so i'll just purchase it when it comes out instead as it would cost me the same amount of money to see it in theater (or dvd through netflix for "free").
