I watched the first two episodes loved them just a quick question

Does everyone choose who does the narrative with them? Or can strangers be in the same narrative?

I don't think the show ever covers this. I'd imagine that strangers could be in the same narrative. However, the world is incredibly vast, and it costs an ABSURD amount of money per/day to go there. It seems unlikely that non-host strangers would interact much, if at all.

Also is the the old guy in black just loaded rich and stays there until he figures out this deeper level shit? And is that part of the game or is he trying to go beyond what the developers had intended

As this is a major part of the story, it seems like it'd be more relevant for you to continue watching to find out . Yes though, he is fucking loaded.

The best part of the show imo is once you think you've figured it out they throw in a big twist that changes everything.

The ending was soooo good. Perfect even. Borderline masterpiece.
