I think part of what made true detective great for me was watching it with people and trying to figure things out, noticing all the small details. Seeing people post theories online etc. It was an experience that couldn't be replicated by viewing it now. I still think it is an amazing show, but the loss of the extra stuff... Idk if it deserves #1.

Big bang is definitely #1 shit show. Season 1 was alright/somewhat promising and then they just started catering to the masses.

Same guy who does Two and a Half, obviously that's what it was going to be. He knows how to rope in people who like dumb TV. Liking these shows doesn't make you dumb, not realizing that it's bad TV does.

I don't know, I watched it by myself. I didn't feel I missed anything and I didn't spend anytime talking to people online about the little intricacies here and there. While I loved how immersive the show was, I never felt at any point like I was missing anything or that anything was going over my head. I just fell in love with the show for what it was, I loved the dialogue, I loved every character they introduced and I loved how they told the story. It was just phenomenal from start to finish.

Well I wouldn't call 1 season a great show when its 2nd season sucked lol. Maybe best season of the past decade? I don't agree but it is arguable.

Season 1 and Season 2 were their own shows. I'm also apparently in the vast minority of people who also thought season 2 was good. Not nearly as good as season 1, but still as good as any other show currently running.

Seeing as season 1 was a complete show, it is fair for me to say it's the best show I've seen in the past decade. Had season 2 been a follow-up on the first season and it done as terribly as season 2 did, then you'd be correct, me calling it the best show would be fairly absurd.

Hunter x Hunter is one of the best, if not the best, animes ever made.... it's done perfectly and One Punch has just started. Might as well wait until it's actually finished or gotten it's second season out before ragging on it. DBZ belongs on there and the only reason it's so popular, is because of people who watched it as kids (myself included).

Regardless, this trinity is even more retarded than the one Sakuraba posted. It's like you guys are purposefully just trying to be dumb.....

Holy anime trinity of pleb would be something like - Naruto/Bleach/Fairy Tale or trade any of those with One Piece or DBZ and you'd be a fuck ton closer.

But I agree that DBZ-Naruto-Bleach or something like that works best. Even though I like DBZ and I enjoyed the beginning of Naruto.

Awwww, SAO would have been a good one too. I don't think I'd put Elfen in there, doesn't seem to be that popular of a show really.

I've watched all of DBZ (still watching Super), all of Bleach, and most of Naruto. I can seem them for what they're, decently entertaining shows that pander to the masses without a hell of a lot of substance. The first season of SAO was good, but why the fuck they bothered continuing it after leaving the game, just doesn't make any sense to me. The only thing that made it somewhat interesting, was the threat of constant death, if you die in the game. Remove that, and you're just watching a show about nerds who play far too many videogames for the sake of playing far too many fucking videogames lol. While I would spend all my time gaming (or most of it), if I didn't have a job, wife, and kid, I don't want to watch a fucking show about it. I enjoy DBZ because of nostalgia and always will. I actually liked Bleach until the end of Aizen. Yes, you have to either suffer through shit-tons of filler or skip it for the show to be somewhat enjoyable and it's omfg painfully predictable. Follows the same damn formula as every popular shonen. Oh, I was holding back, I have this other power, oh, but you forgot about this other power I have. Bad guy is stronger, almost kills good guy or kills good guy's friend, good guy reaches new power and kills bad guy. Rinse repeat
