Yes, that'll be his job, and yes deckard is. Gaff left an oragami revealing deckards memory.

Gosling could be good, if his character is similar to drive or beyond the pines

Gosling has made a few movies that are bad but he did some awesome roles to - like Drive and Only God Forgives, depends on if the Director plays up the heartthrob thing for chicks which is a mistake to most guys.

If you haven't seen place beyond the pines I recommend it.

I IMDB'd it
The Place Beyond the Pines (2012)

yeah i saw that one - it was good

I think i like him when he doesn't have to many lines, he's not Dustin Hoffman after all.

I hate how they added that in.

One of the best parts of it was not knowing for sure if he was one or not. Reminds me of the Sopranos ending. Sometimes the best ending is an open one.

i

i agree, it was great not knowing for sure either way

Philip Dick was a genius, but hollywood has to fuck that up

Damn them, still going to watch it hoping they try to leave stuff unexplained

i like all 3 versions of Blade Runner though cause each one left more unsaid

and in this day and age if any idiot doesn't understand something - they immediately think its the fault of the film

instead of realizing its their own dumb arrogance.

I had zero hopes for this movie, but after watching that, it didn't look too bad.

It was a really great setting in Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. I don't know why they had to being back Harrison Ford when they could have started with something new and expanded the universe.

Take the Sprawl Trilogy for instance. Case was the main character and only POV in Neuromancer. Then came Count Zero, with three brand new characters with POVs. The only returning character from Neuromancer was the Finn. He mentions the events of Neuromancer but it really just comes off as lip service to returning readers. Finally, you had Mona Lisa Overdrive. If I can remember properly, it had four POVs. You have returning characters appearing (none of them POV characters from the other books), and you even have a conversation where people discuss Case's ultimate fate. At the end, Gibson managed to build a very large and memorable world without relying on a single personality.

Blade Runner took a lot of the philosophy out of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Not even particularly deep philosophy that could have been touched on in these new titles. Instead we have our familiar soundtrack in our familiar city with our familiar protagonist. We'll learn the actually answer to the question of who or what Deckard is. I've always felt the question being left unanswered was more intriguing. I'm afraid instead of "should we empathize with them as other people or just think of these objects as dangerously malfunctioning machinery? Where is the line of humanity drawn and who can draw it," it'll be "Replicants are people too, those damn bastards made them kill Harrison Ford!"

At the very least, the movie will probably look and sound very pretty, which the original managed to pull off very well.

I think him and Winding-Refn just work together well. Like Nolan and Christian Bale. There's a lot of movies where like you said, he's just for the glamour. But starting with Drive, they really found a way to make him brooding and serious beyond the pretty face.

I think that could work well here. Could.
