I don't know if you guys noticed, the flashbacks Naz has usually involve blurry vision, and the sounds of sex from an observers perspective. There is a reason they are shot from a hallway, and not that cleche mish mash of skin on skin flashback hollywood loves so much. He wasn't having sex with her. He may have started, but those memories depart him from the finally, maybe far sooner than we would have expected. Which would explain Box's hesitation. Small, or possible mixed DNA sample. The man's final case? He has to know there's something missing.

These memories can't be another red herring. Who else would have been partially conscious, and wandering the hallways during the murder, other than naz, and why would they cut to those during naz's screen time, if they're Not implying those are his memories??

Also. When he wakes up in the kitchen there is a car peeling off in the background.

Another thing. That detective who took pictures for the defense made it a point to take a picture from the back door, to the kitchen, showing the perp could've entered without noticing NAZ.

The back exit looks like it's hidden. Whoever did it must have known the best way in was probably the back, and may have known the door was broken,

This show is absolutely about assumptions, and the realistic, and hypocritical blindness of the american justice system. This has nothing to do with the truth, obviously because the state is only trying to build a case, and not solve one. Thats the way it works.... which is why I honestly doubt it's Dwane Reed. We've spent time learning what you see isn't always what you get, and prejudice is common place. Of course the black guy with a record is OUR choice, but Naz is the states choice for virtually the same reasons. This was a crime of passion. Either the person who killed her never knew her, and has some disgusting violent fantasies, or the person who killed her, knew her. That leaves ONE suspect.. Step daddy. Who was probably having sex with her during his wife's passing.... It's not Dwane. It's not Naz. If it's naz, fuck this show. lol

Good Show.

Is it just me or did it seem like the girl was framing him the whole time. I was thinking at first she commit suicide but didn't want people to know, but that was to gory for a suicide. Maybe she hired someone to kill her and had to frame someone. Didn't catch anything about her real father, but she is without him, her mother dead, and is dealing with a gold digger step-father. That could really cause someone to be suicidal. As for the step-father, they are definitely making him look suspicious but it was too perfect timing for him. He might have hired someone to do it and had them follow her around and wait for right time but I feel there will be another big twist.

Spoilers ahead so stop reading now unless you've seen the finale.

I really thought they would go with a guilty verdict so they could come back in season 2 with an appeal to ultimately win. Naz needs to keep his head down until they announce the trial of the real killer (which looks more and more like the accountant). Until then, I feel he needs to hide under the radar and hold back going into public to keep himself from getting backlash from the community....and getting harmed. I'm unsure of the time frame that he was in prison but it definitely changed him. His addiction is growing stronger by the day which is sad to see such a good guy going down this path by an unfortunate series of events.

I thought the ASPCA commercial at the end was really funny. .....aaaand stone's nasty feet are back...

There isn't going to be a season 2, they said at the beginning this is a one time 8 episode series.

/e When asked about a second installment, Zaillian said, "We're thinking about it and if we come up with something we all feel is worthy of doing, we'll do it. This was designed as a stand-alone piece. That being said, there are ways of certainly kind of taking what it feels like and what it's about and doing another season on another subject."

I guess there could be a season 2, but it won't be about Naz, but I highly doubt it with the failure that was True Detective 2.
