Did you even watch the episode?

I did lol. Another reviewer felt the same:

Last night’s premiere was a disaster, a nonsensical script given no help by wooden acting from the two people you figured might be into this, Mulder and Scully. Few plot motivations make sense, almost everything about the mythology has been tossed out the window, and after spending nine seasons respecting the series’ defining characters, they’ve become bumbling idiots.

But they ended up liking it, etc. http://kotaku.com/the-x-files-premiere-was-terrible-and-i-still-loved-it-1754961305

It's sorta like when I was six years old and figured out that Santa wasn't real, I was like wtf - my parents are just liars in order to placate you into submission, and then I realized that's what everyone does, so it's just better to except it.

Why can't you guys just let people have other opinions? Every thread in this sub forum always has someone getting mad because someone has a differing opinion than yours...

Second episode was much better. Felt very much like an episode from the original.

I personally liked both episodes. Excited to see how the rest of this season unfolds.

Episode 2 was better, they did away with the preachy infowars crap and went straight in the "insert x-files jingle"

I really wish we were getting more than 6 episodes. They said they're going to have a couple stand alone cases. Next week being the first one. Those kind of filler episodes don't work when you have a limited run.

Seemed very much like the original and I liked it up until the "alien" kid met up with his sister and then it got even to weird for me.

Then i watched the show after if and that was pretty good too, so I'm gonna be watching Fox on Mondays now I guess.

Gunna dig up my antennae and try to hook it up next week so I can really try to get into this 90s nostalgia tv thing.

They're probably waiting to see the audience number, so I hope they get some decent viewership and we can get some more shows.

Numbers are looking good from the premiere
