Vote: Movies

I watch alot of shows and movies.
When I start a movie, I finish it. Good or bad. Then I can evaluate why I didn't like it or did, etc. And 1 movie = 1 time, most of the time.
Same for Tv shows, once I start one I finish it or keep watching ti'll it ends. But for Tv shows, I can easily get dissapointed. I think it's due to lower budgets, worse writers, running out of ideas, etc. If only a show would realize when it's doing bad, to just call it quits, lol

I think he is trying to say if there was a Waterworld TV Series that most people would rather watch that instead.

Good stuff guys, interesting views. Keep them coming.

Companies like Netflix and Hulu are creating a sea change in television, with their own home-grown series. A lot of these shows are really good, and may be starting to force the regular networks to actually develop good content, instead of shoveling the next reality idea down our throats. The end may finally be in sight for most reality-format shows (I can hope, at least).

Movies.

There's very few TV shows that I would say cross that plane from entertaining to truly stunning. Movies do this often.

Honestly it really depends.
If you mean an amazing TV show vs an amazing movie, I'll take the movie.
But a mediocre movie vs a mediocre TV show, I'll probably watch the TV show because I won't need to be as invested.
