Netflix will eventually phase out the need for cinemas imo, I see a future where we continue to pay a monthly subscription but brand new "box office" movies will be available for one off purchases etc.

thats not going to happen in a long time with piracy the way it currently is, however it would be fucking awesome.

Piracy would just get even larger and then this wouldn't happen

Really? I would see it going down. If people are already tapped into a service like netflix and now HD quality theater releases become available.. I know I wouldnt pirate

They've made some pretty big busts this year, Recently being Yifi one of our largest resources. hopefully another group fill those shoes soon. Not saying piracy is dwindling but we did take some good blows this year.

You realize they would increase the cost to access these brand new releases right?
And even if they didn't... free is still free. I'll never use Netflix as long as torrents exist.



I don't think I've ever felt a "blow" in how easy it is to get torrents.
