Good movies... for myself, not really re-watchable over and over.

I found the lord of the rings books extremely boring personally. I love all the lore, I have spent many hours on the Tolkien wikia reading every piece of lore. There is something about those books that I just can't do.

Saw each of them 3-4 times at the theaters loved christmas back then

Still a fan here. Watch those 3 movies over 50 times each.

Because of that, I bought the books, the silmarillion, unfinished tales, children of urin, the history of middle earth part 1-2-3.

I finished The 2 towers and have not read for 1-2 years xd.

The makings of are better than the actual movies.

Love LOTR my favourite films ever, I did enjoy the hobbit films as well but obviously there are many inconsistencies which always puts some fans off especially if you have read the books first. That being said it was always to make the films shorter or to add something that the film makers thought was missing a good example is the love interest between the film adaption of Tauriel an Kili in the hobbit as obviously Hollywood believes you need a good love story blah blah blah.

I've not read the book intently but the Lore really is fascinating an I always do find that the case with these types of fantasy stories, films, or games etc.
