Comparing apples to oranges. Thor is often off world, taking care of his own issues with his own realm, they even explain this. So not really relative here.
Now let's compare that to kryptonians and kryptonian prisoners and even a relative of superman. The premise that he doesn't know about or isn't involved in these problems is pushing it.

The fappening.

In the comics Thor spend most of his time on earth. The point stands. Superman is basically a God, there are many times that it shows he can 'unfocus' his hearing or whatever and hear basically everything that is happening in the world. He is fast enough, strong enough and omniscient enough to solve every major issue in the world when it pops up. Why doesn't he? Because. That's why.

If you have a problem with that in reference to this show then you should have a problem with it in everything dc related.

Or like I said before, accept that he trusts others to solve the issues that arise near them/he is busy with something more dangerous.

At this point you're just arguing for the sake of arguing.

The comics do a good enough job explaining what is going on, as do the movies and tv shows within their contained universes. Not that it has any relevance here. I am specifically talking about this show.

The fact that something integral to superman wouldn't have his full attention is the problem I have and I'm not the only one with this issue given it's one of the main bones of contention critics have been voicing about the show.

This isn't like superman not helping with the arrow or flash with their own problems. This is like superman ignoring zod or his minions. Maybe the show will do a better job at explaining it, right now they're doing a lousy job at it.

Also, I can bring this up as an issue because the plot has the prisoners being on the planet for quite some time. Making the issue of superman not being involved more troubling.

If these problems developed into world-threatening issues superman would deal with them, but they haven't, so he won't. If the team that kara is now helping told superman to stay away, he would unless the situation threatened mass destruction, because that is his character.

Not to mention the villains have nothing to do with superman, they have way nor to do with kara, her aunt appears to be the main villain this season.

Plus why do you think Jimmy is there? He randomly decided to move? No probably not, more likely sent to help+keep an eye on Kara.

I'm not saying the show is good, but superman not being in it is not an issue.

E: but as I said before, the real reason is because he isn't.

The suit looks amazing, the lead is attractive. The newspaper portion is probably the most interesting, but that isn't saying much. All of the action is pretty meh.
