Show gets surprisingly entertaining. Murphy is the best.

so i watched some of this Z nation series and OMG at the meltdown incident, as if some rubber suits going to block radiation... No need for heavy shielding around reactors, nurses won't have to wear heavy lead skirts when operating x-ray machinery dayly etc. etc. etc. Just wear some rubber, in case of sexy nurse, latex suit? LOL

I believe they actually do have suits that are radiation resilient. They probably exaggerate their ability.

so called alpha radiation is mostly absorbed by skin and is only dangerous when ingested, for example when breathing air that contains ash from the fallout. In such a case a suit protects you from that to a degree. Gamma radiation however will blast right through. Beta radiation can be shielded maybe with such a suit, but you still get the gamma radiation, which is best blocked by lead afaik, and 1 cm of lead (fucking heavy stuff) is needed to halve the dose of gamma radiation taken.

Wouldn't call it good, but it is one of the better asylum productions. I don't know why it works, but it does.
