something still lingering

When Tom woke up at the farm, the old guy knew his name even though he had never asked it. When it happened, Tom raised his eyebrow at it. Since then, the story has moved on like it never happened and that farm was exactly what it appeared to be.

Am I the only one still wondering about this little tidbit? The fact that the wife kinda looked like Rebecca got me thinking maybe that whole farm scenario was planted by the good aliens to help Tom on his path. But since Hal and fake nurse chick actually want to the farm, that makes it feel a little more real.

Agreed it was weird, I thought he started crying because he figured out it was fake... but then he just went on like it was real.. Then Hal showed up. And nothing since.

Also how is it not extremely obvious to everyone that the court marshal bitch was infected by something. I mean her neck is getting worse and worse through the entire episode.

Interesting angle. Even if she is infected and being controlled that doesn't really explain the situation. The asshole soldier who jumped Matt was the real catalyst for the conflict.

Another theory is that she worked out a 'deal' with the espheni for the survival of her group (reminiscent of the child farm from the very beginning). She lures/eliminates human resistance and in exchange her group gets to remain inexplicably untouched in the middle of the battle. She ordered the asshole to go after Matt's spikes (because the overlords in the area know about him and don't like it).

I think she was infected with something that is either similar to eye worms, and she is a pawn, or making her super paranoid so queue conflict with outsiders, especially ones with spikes.

Either way she needs to die.
