Imo it could be easily topped with a great director
It will be feel more dated when the time goes and cartoonish at times
Not saying this will be better but it could if done right

WHAT?!

Dude, that's like blasphemy to me lol. Jurrassic Park still holds up to this day. Have you watched it recently? It has nothing about it that gets worse and worse. That movie is solid from start to finish. That insane first sequence locks you in, whether your 10 years old or 50. That movie is a masterpiece. The dialogue, the cinematography, the suspense. It's all perfect. The actors. All of it.

Shame on you.

Original movies come out every week, distinguish hem from the rest and look for them. Don't be be blind.

There's actually a good purpose for remakes and reboots. It allows younger generations to experience the story whereas they may have not had interest in seeing the original because it's "older" or they may just not have known of its existence.

From a business standpoint, which Hollywood and everyone in the movie business understands, it is more likely safer to do a popular remake or reboot than an original film. Movies are expensive to make, and it would surely be depressing to make a film that doesn't net a positive outcome.

Directors, actors and everyone in between don't make movies for the sole reason of public enjoyment, they do it because that's their job and they wish to have an income just like he rest of us.

Reboots and remakes also allow for a movie to be made with modern technology and new director's interpretation.

Although, it is unfortunate that Jurassic park literally has no competition. I can't even recall seeing another live action dinosaur movie.

Well put.

Last few adam Sandler movies have been real box office failures. I think I recall hearing that his movie about the shoes was one of the worst box office failures of all time if not the worst.

Check out some of the cannes film festival movies they are quite good. Below are two I'm interested in but there are many more.

Not saying it's bad, it's just not great. Cinematography is good but for example Newmans character brings a cartoonish element. And at times it underlines sentimentality a bit too much for my taste. Loved it as a kid and constantly rewatched it. Check it 30 years, I'd be surprised if you still find it perfect. There's the possibility I'm a bit too dead inside but now I see it as a missed opportunity and not a great film. Also it could have been a lot darker and more on chaos theory like the book

Well, lets think about how many people remember how great the original was?

Point of reference: Jurassic Park (1993) was a Pg-13 movie. Someone who was 13 years old in 1993 is 35 today. Realistically, younger people saw the movie during the 90's and the sequels also spread more awareness. So the actual amount of people who are fresh to the CGI dinosaur experience is somewhat less. But if you wanna make the argument that the movie is targeting the demographic of "action fans under 35", I'll allow that argument to slide. That probably is a viable business model today.

I would simply say that each year you wait increases your demographic. Also, people over 35 would be 1 more year removed from having seen it, making them possibly more willing to see another one.
