i liked the premise of Forever, but i didnt care much for the implementation. i still watched it because i'm a sucker for sci fi.
a few things i would have done a bit different:
1) i dont understand why henry has to be dumb with technology.
2) have henry help people, not just solve murders. know all the neighbors and be the go-to guy when people need help or something. he could have a network of people who protect his secret out of loyalty. make an entire arc out of it instead of 1 off episodes.
3) henry and adam should be more frenemies. adam seems to be interested in it, but henry isn't.
4) get rid of henry's medical examiner assistant. he's just annoying.
5) personally i dislike the over-use of flashbacks.
6) do something with the woman detective. i felt nothing happened after 20 episodes. she didnt learn his secret, she didnt date him, she didnt become his enemy, she wasn't his great grand daughter, nothing.
i havent watched the last 2 eps yet.
ya pretty obvious you didnt finish it
anyway theres only so much you can do if you only get 1 season. A couple of your suggestions a pretty trivial, a couple were addressed in the last couple eps, a couple would dumb down the show and that makes 6
#1 bad with technology? who cares, the guys 200 years old the last 10 years of smart phone existence are nothing to him
#2 they obviously started out with him on his own, fearful of people learning his secret for obvious reasons, and if you watched the last episode you would have seen the show growing in that direction
#3 in interviews with the creator of the show he said the relationship between henry and adam was going to continue to develop as the show went on, but... it got cancelled.
#4 diversity in side characters shows creativity in writing, you find him annoying because everyone in the show finds him annoying, you're over empathizing with good writing.
#5 again the guys 200 years old we need a bit of backstory, you should have expected this to slow down as the series progresses. They had to close the plot holes with his last wife, explain the youth of his son, and show why henry morgan is afraid of people learning his secret. It was all in order to move forward, but people like you couldnt see past 30 seconds of flashback every couple episodes.
#6 yep watch the last episode, unfortunately it got cancelled because people like you just wanna watch the flash, arrow, and gotham and whatever recycled storyline comes out next, your puny brain cant handle anything new. it's the same reason why you watch school uniform anime, you just want to feel comfortable.
