I liked the shield better but both were great shows

Haven't seen The Shield, but I loved The Wire.

just take into account the wire has ALOT of storylines to follow, each season highlights a few characters even though they all tie into the story line, so you may not like a season because of the storyline they are following.


for me it was season 5 for a certain character that i didnt think fit well in the show.

ended up starting both for few eps, to decide which series to finish first.
so far, shield is more entertaining & definitely grabs my attention more
but wire feels like it'll be better overall as i watch more ep
