ive seen short circuit, i dont need to google it. so how do you figure futuristic robots who police (which i will give u, goes about the irobot theory towards the end of that movie) even comes close to one kidnapped and reprogrammed like short circuit.
if anything its all irobot, but with a different story line. and if you're going to throw out irobot, you obviously seen that, so why not this?
you must be mad about irobot if this is fundamentally crap to you, because its basically the same premise it seems like to me, just a different story line and country.
edit: forgot everyone on jsp is a movie mogul, critic, and connoisseur.
oh no wait, everyone converged here because they played diablo 2, and banded off on different subforums because the game died out.
stop acting like this isnt an enjoyable movie to see because you all have "pinky finger in the air while i sip tea" taste on shit u watch.
good movie is a good movie. this will be a good movie. you all are missing out.
1. "I don't want to die, I want to live" / "I'm alive, I am Chappie" ... watch the trailer... hence "number 5 is alive" is the right statement to make about this movie.
2. Chappie is learning everything new... even watching He Man... same as Short Circuit when he is in the house and learning everything and watching TV.
3. I Robot, already revealed the sentient intellect achievable in a robot, and linking it outside the normal parameters of other robots. Chappie is actually a "Reject" that was re-calibrated ["Reject" sign on his head]
4. Based on #3 also... Short Circuit was also rejected.
5. Chappie is actually a mix of I Robot / Short Circuit and would you believe... Robocop [latest version].
Anyway... I don't want to watch another Sentient Robot movie that uses storylines from other movies. Nothing original that I can see. Take a chill pill and calm yourself down, if you can NOT see the similarities just in the trailer, then you should re-watch it.
