prison break s1 was good. s2 was ok. s3 tanked, and i'm struggling with s4.

i think the executives' meeting to discuss the s3 plot with the writers went something like this:

boss: we put michael in prison and spent season 1 breaking out. it was a fantastic plot. but now he's out. what do we do next?
[crickets chirp]
boss: come on, anyone? any ideas at all?
[writer raises hand]: we can put him back in prison and have him break out again
[boss stares at him]: ...anyone? any ideas at all?
[aquaman raises his hand]: i have an idea! we can use whales! WHALES!
boss: lets put him back in prison and have him break out again.
