you should take the 2 or 3 most objective and knowledgeable guy in this sub ( sultan, you're not in sorry ) and they should work on a top 20+ or so.

If you don't know much about film and need some general recomendations you can always check out IMDB top 250 located here: http://www.imdb.com/chart/top?ref_=nv_ch_250_4
these are popular, accessible and most of them are worth watching.

That would be the opposit of what I suggested

There are some amazing movies that don't reach that list due to the non mainstream nature of them.

HATemOnkEy is good at contemporary B films, Ziggystardust is for sure better at Arthouse, i'm for sure better at Italian Genrefilm and possibly also French film, someone else is better at Hollywood from last 10-20 years etc etc
