The Lotr movies can each stand alone as a single movie, even though the story isn't complete. They aren't rushed in any way.

Whereas with the hobbit, it desperately needs to be seen as one 7 hour movie because each movie feels so much more rushed. As one long movie, it works.

I wonder how fisherman were able to fight fully armored orcs...... The battle should have ended with the orcs victoririous for the orcs long before the Eagles came.

I feel like there is less blood in the hobbit movies, especially this one.

The necromancer was a huge disappointment .

Disclaimer: did not read the book.

Yeah I did enjoy that.

I hate how azog broke through the ice...... And jumped out of the water....how is that possible. His big freaking stone mace had trouble breaking the ice.

Obviously, I must have been blinded by pretty jewels.

They also didn't show what happened to the arkenstone. I'm assuming it was given back to the dwarves....but..

Buried with Thorin and returned to the ground where it came.

Did they not even cover that in the movie?

Nope.

Little hobbit guy took the stone and gave it to the elves. Then that dude from the village waved it around at thorin to prove he had it. Then the war started and we never heard of it again.

For all we know, that village dude is using it for butt stuff.
