Heard Game of Thrones was a failed Drama too

The world is much too small and has hardly any creative freedom in Marco Polo.

Would be stupid to try and compete with game of thrones.


Game of thrones has a good mix of drama and action and unexpected.

Marco Polo is pretty linear and action doesn't show up much :S

you do realize that you are comparing a netflix show on its first season to a hbo series already on season 5? that was based off of award winning books right?

You do realize I'm not the one comparing the 2 shows. I'm pointing out that they can't be compared/pitted against each other.

sounded like a comparison to me but to each his own i for one enjoy it just as much as game of thrones. Although i do agree with you that it can't compete with GOT in terms of acting and GOT obviously has more twists but i haven't even finished season 1 of marco polo to judge.

I'm on episode 9 of 10 and there still hasn't been any meaningful action or unpredictable event.

if you compare to got it will never be the same because there is no focal character, and all of them have defined back ground.

The final battle with the blind guy was cool.

I'd give season1 a 7/10. Not amazing, but worth watching. Lot of Asian titties. Hopefully the budget picks up for season2 so they can step up the fighting and effects.

I would compare the quality of story more with Spartacus than I would game of thrones. About as much nudity without the dicks.

I was more compelled by the spartacus storyline.

And spartacus has 600 times more action.

Has 600 times more dick shots too.
