Transformers 3. Although the trailer didn't look all that great, the movie itself was horribad.

He quoted what I said and agreed. Neither of us said movies suck, wtf.

essentially trailers make movies appear better than they are.

Simple marketing ploy, trailers should be a minor glimpse into what a movies about, nowadays they show "best bits" and some even reveal key plot elements.

Comedies are the worst, you've heard the best jokes several times before you sit down and watch the movie.

of course movie trailers generally lie about the product to an extent - that can be said about almost all advertising

But i don't go out and buy every product i see in every commercial - but i'm sure everyone has sorta fallen and been a victim to false advertising sometimes.

If it didn't fool people ever - would they be still doing it ?

Haven't you ever seen a trailer and the movie was actually better than the trailer - or it actually advertised how awesome it was - and it turned out it was actually awesome.

Im just saying there is a scale of deceit in advertising - and that eventually - we all get suked into something.

Ofc not man

I've seen plenty of movies where the film > trailer. That's how it should be.

I'm just talking about modern day cinema and majorities

Prometheus - didn't suck. Texas Chainsaw 3d - suked. Was it exactly as awesome a sequel to one of the best horror sci fi films made by one of the best directors ever as people thought it should be?

probably not. But just because it wasn't the most awesome film ever it didn't suk. You probably didn't even understand it. It was probably better than 93% of every sequal/prequel ever made. And had an actual butt load of awesomeness, somewhere it did turn off course - but still cleary better tham almost every sct-fi film. There so much crap out there.

And don't bother racing to some random shit website that explains the plot - because i'm talking about your ability to judge stuff now, and for you to even say that - i understand that your movie iq suks.
