He didn't need the ritual. The ritual was for something else, so he could link with the vargulf. As for changing any time of day, I explained that they can change whenever they want but it makes them eventually go crazy.

Definitely liked season 1 better. This season didn't have as much atmosphere because they tried to cram too many plots in. Season 1 was all about how Letha got pregnant, what was happening to Roman, and finding the vargulf.

It didn't feel as though Hemlock Grove was as tight of a community as the first season. They also didn't work a defining mythology. What made season one so interesting was learning about all of these supernatural beings and events going on. Season 2 felt like a generic vampires and werewolves story.

Can agree though I still enjoyed it.. I felt they crammed too much into one season or simply made the season too short or something.


I feel season 3 will break my interest. it would seem that it could possibly be the final season either way. Not sure if there is any word of another season or not. I definitely will watch if they make a new season.

I am still extremely impressed with all the "Netflix originals" House of cards was fairly enjoyable.. hemlock groves.. my wife enjoys orange is the new black a lot. I don't include arrested development pretty sure it was developed else where.. not sure if I am missing any.
