Yeah, one of the most graphic transformations I've seen yet. Supernatural had some graphic shifters where they rip their skin off to molt the previous form but they weren't werewolves like this.
The second season is going to focus more on the vampire side of things.

As suggested by some other people in here, I really encourage you to watch The Originals, it's great, better than Vampire Diaries which I also really enjoy.
